VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
MONDAY, JUNE 2 - FRIDAY, JUNE 6
6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
It's almost time for Vacation Bible School! We are going to be learning about God’s unchanging truths. It’s a fantastic opportunity to grow in faith and make new friends. All kids ages two through grade 12 are invited. We will also have a class for adults.
The theme this year is Ocean Commotion. Kids will dive deep into the account of Noah and the Flood from the book of Genesis. They’ll learn to apply the spiritual lessons from Noah’s life to their own. They will also uncover earthly lessons from the Flood: how all the animals fit on the Ark, how the Flood covered the whole Earth, and how we can still see the effects of this Flood today.
Each evening, everyone will meet in the church sanctuary for the opening which will feature songs and pledges. Groups will then be dismissed to their individual activities and classes. These will include Bible lessons, missionary moment, crafts, games, and snacks. At the conclusion of the evening, we will meet back in the sanctuary for the closing which will includes songs and a daily recap.
Friday evening we will have a special closing. Parents and families are invited to join us. Each class will have a special presentation and then will gather in the backyard for pizza and a surprise activity for those who earned the most points during the week. In the past, this has included our VBS volunteers kissing a pig, water balloon fights, tug-of-war over a mud pit, and having syrup poured over the VBS volunteer’s head.
We can always can use some extra hands to help with assisting and escorting groups to the various stations, as well as other duties. There will be a sign up sheet in the church foyer. You can also pre-register HERE
